AMS came to life toward the end of 2013, started by Chris & Rob. Our aim was to offer a mobile mechanic service with the quality of a main dealer but with a more personal service.
Both of us came from main dealer background including Fiat, Vauxhall & Rover which gave us a customer service sensibility.
We moved quickly from one van to two allowing us to look after more of you & cover a larger area.
Keeping the momentum going we took on Jamie. Always mindful of wanting to maintain our customary high level of quality service we took Jamie on knowing his history as Rob’s apprentice. Soon after we had three vans in circulation.
Sadly the momentum of growing the business slowed as Rob decided cars was not where his passions lied, & left to become a carpenter. Jamie also left deciding to follow his own path. I must admit missing the camaraderie of working in a team & I couldn’t have asked for better team mates & wish them both the best in their future endevours.
Now it is just me, i’d like to think at least the better looking one is still here (that’s me in case there is any doubt)
From the moment you call till the job is complete you’ll be dealing directly with myself, you won’t be pushed round various dept’s attempting to get your problem resolved, i’ll be with you at every step.
On going training is also key To which I am currently studying on the path to becoming a Master tech & level 4 EV & Hybrid technician.
Sadly unlike the gas & electricians industries automotive technicians don’t have to prove their capabilities or qualifications, meaning someone could start up a garage tomorrow with no skills or experience at all. That’s why you can relax knowing i’m an IMI (institute of the motor industry) verified technician & have to show continued study & development.
